The 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spiders was just unveiled in the 2015 Detroit Auto Show and will follow the release of the 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C coupe that released in late 2014. The 4C Spider two-seat convertible will be available in showroom in the summer. Alfa Romeo has not announced the pricing of the car but it is expected will start at $60,000.
To measure up the 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe, the 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spiders is worked by the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to keep the weight down on the convertible. This includes the use of a lightweight carbon-fiber windshield frame that allows for the addition of the detachable and store cloth roof. The 4C Spider has a total weight of 2,487 pounds while the Coupe is 2,465 pounds. The convertible model offers 4 new wheel designs. There will be available an optional bare carbon-fiber hardtop later in the model year. An optional Track package will add performance flat-bottom steering wheel, high-performance shock absorbers, and carbon-fiber side mirrors.
Powertrain and Transmissions
The 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spiders will come with 1.7-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine generating 237-hp and 258 lb-ft of torque paired with Alfa TCT 6-speed twin-clutch automated manual transmission. The Spider can get 24 mpg city and 34 highway in estimated EPA fuel economy. The two model cars can reach 60 mph in about 4 second range and maximum speed of 160 mph. dual, center-mounted tips with carbon-fiber surround are available as an all-new optional Akrapovic dual-mode exhaust system. The convertible will have three exhaust systems option.
Inside, the 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spiders will get an Alpine premium radio along with a USB port and iPod interface. There will be available new Tobacco leather interior with black accents later in the model year. Electronic stability control, ABS, a driver knee airbag and traction control will be available standard.
