Under the Hood
Although there is a new engine for 2015 Outback but the taste is actually same with the old Outback which released fifteen years ago. You can see a new FB-generation DOHC engine with 2.5 Liter four cylinder boxer. The old engine 2.5 Liter four-cylinder had pumped 165 horsepower and 166 ft-lb of torque meanwhile the new one only produced 175 horsepower and 174 ft-lb of torque.
They have the gap at 10 horsepower and 8 ft-lb of torque with fifteen years of time. We believe that Subaru is able to give more powerful engine instead of same cylinder but different type. However, we have good news on the EPA ratings. This car has 33 mpg on the highway.
